387 8th Street Breaks Ground in Hamilton Park, Jersey City

Construction has broken ground on 387 8th Street, a ten-story residential building in Hamilton Park, Jersey City. Designed by INOA Architecture and developed by EPIRE, the structure will yield 75 units, 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 77 parking spaces. Christie Engineering is the structural engineer and Wilco Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Brunswick and Division Streets.

Six-Story, 163-Unit Residential Building Rises At 715 Jersey Avenue, Jersey City’s Hamilton Park

A six-story, 163-unit residential building is currently four stories up at 715 Jersey Avenue, in Jersey City’s Hamilton Park neighborhood, on 10th Street. According to The Jersey Journal, the building sits on a 12-foot embankment, where a railway once operated; Conrail abandoned the rail line back in 1995. Completion is expected next summer, and LeFrak is developing the project, dubbed Embankment House. The same developer is also planning an identical residential building a block to the west, between Coles and Mammoth Streets.

Groundbreaking Next Month For 17-Story, 397-Unit Building At 515 Marin Boulevard, Jersey City

Jonathan Kushner’s KRE Group has received a $40 million tax break for their planned 17-story, 397-unit mixed-use building planned at 515 Marin Boulevard, in Jersey City’s Hamilton Park neighborhood. Twenty percent of the tower’s units will be affordable, and commercial space will measure roughly 20,000 square feet on the ground floor. The site is currently a parking lot, and groundbreaking is expected next month for an August 2017 completion, according to The Jersey Journal.
