Façade Installation Begins on 550 Tenth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Work is unfolding rapidly on 550 Tenth Avenue, a 47-story residential skyscraper in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, the 520-foot-tall structure will yield 430,000 square feet and 453 rental units, with 137 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 9,000 square feet of lower-level retail space, over 20,000 square feet of amenities, and 26,764 square feet of administrative office space for Covenant House. GO Covenant LLC is the owner and Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located along Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets.

Hudson Hotel Secures $100M Loan to Complete Residential Conversion in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

A residential conversion of the Hudson Hotel will move forward following the acquisition of a $100 million financial package from Northwind Group. Located at 358 West 58th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, the existing 878-key hotel will be redeveloped to support 441 rental apartments and more than 50,000 square feet of retail space. CSC Coliving, repeat Northwind Group borrowers, will oversee the conversion of the property, which is situated between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, just southwest of Columbus Circle and Central Park.

Renovation Continues for Mount Sinai Surgical Innovation Center at 432 West 58th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction is progressing on the Mount Sinai Comprehensive Center For Surgical Innovation (CCSI), an 11-story building at 432 West 58th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. The project involves the renovation and modernization of the 52-year-old, 172,000-square-foot structure, which the hospital purchased back from the Italian school La’Scuola d’Italia for $75.1 million in 2018 three years after parting with it for $55 million. Lendlease is the general contractor for the project, which is being carried out with the help of an $11.6 million grant from the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). The property is located between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, directly across 58th Street from the hospital’s main campus.

Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, the ground-up 520-foot-tall reinforced concrete superstructure will span 430,000 square feet and yield a total of 453 rental units, with 137 residences for moderate and middle incomes, as well as 9,000 square feet of commercial retail space, over 20,000 square feet of residential amenities, and 26,764 square feet of administrative office space for Covenant House. GO Covenant LLC is the owner and Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the Midtown, Manhattan property, which is located along Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets.
