Visible from the Brooklyn Bridge and starting to pop up over its surrounding context, 130 William Street, designed by Sir David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates, is making an early impact on the Lower Manhattan skyline. The future 800-foot-tall and 66-story residential tower will have 244 units when completed. Hill West Architects is the architect of record while Lightstone Group is the developer, and Corcoran Sunshine is in charge of handling sales. 130 William Street is also referred to as the “Wall Street Tower,” and with an eventual 800-foot pinnacle, it is currently the 20th-tallest tower under construction in the Five Boroughs. At topping-out, it will stand eight feet above the Woolworth Building, and six feet shorter than Bloomberg Tower.

In the lead-up to 2019, YIMBY will be checking in on each of the Five Borough’s 30 tallest towers currently under construction. Standing at the bottom of the list is One Seaport, aka 161 Maiden Lane, which is a notable presence on the Lower Manhattan skyline when seen from the Brooklyn Bridge, or any view facing west towards the Seaport District. The slender new 60-story and 670-foot-tall residential skyscraper recently topped-out, and curtain wall installation is making substantial headway. Spanning 200,000 square feet, the project is being designed by Hill West Architects, developed by Fortis Property Group, LLC and constructed by Pizzarotti LLC. The interiors are being designed by Groves & Co. Sales and marketing are being carried out by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.
Another apartment building is coming to Williamsburg. The new seven-story residential project at 106 North 1st will have commercial space on the ground floor. The neighborhood has seen an influx of condos in the past few years, and an office development is currently in the works directly across the street, at 107 North 1st Street.
The outer sculptural facade of 11 Hoyt is beginning to ascend up the building, piece by piece. The 57-story, ground-up skyscraper is being designed by Studio Gang Architects, and Tishman Speyer is the developer of the 770,000 square foot project, located in Downtown Brooklyn. Hill West is the architect of record, while Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is managing sales for the 480 condominiums that are being designed by London-based Michaelis Boyd Associates.
Fortis Property Group has launched sales for 5 River Park, the first property to arrive on the heels of the billion-dollar River Park redevelopment plan in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. The new property offers 25 condominiums ranging in size from one to four bedrooms.
