Waterline Square Park’s Completion Revealed In New Photographs, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Today, YIMBY has a new set of architectural photographs of the recently completed Waterline Square Park, photographed by Elizabeth Felicella. The 2.6-acre green space surrounds the towers of Waterline Square, a three-tower residential complex from GID Development Group on the waterfront of Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Renderings Reveal RAMSA-Designed Residential Tower at 14-16 Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

The Landmarks Preservation Commission will tomorrow review proposals from Madison Realty Capital to construct a new 19-story condominium building at 14-16 Fifth Avenue. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects with Hill West, the tower would eventually house 20 units, but will first need a Certificate of Appropriateness from the voting commissioners.

Construction Wraps Up on 7 West 57th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction is wrapping up on 7 West 57th Street, Solow Realty & Development Group‘s 19-story mixed-use residential project in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Hill West Architects with Vidaris as the envelope consultant, the 237-foot-tall structure is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues on a narrow parcel to the east of developer’s 50-story SOM-designed property at 9 West 57th Street. Solow purchased the site of 7 West 57th Street 15 years ago for $25,550,000.

Anish Kapoor’s Bean Sculpture at 56 Leonard Street Awaits Completion in Tribeca, Manhattan

Work has still yet to finish on the amorphous mirrored “bean” sculpture at the base of 56 Leonard Street, an 821-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Tribeca. The art piece, which sits partially complete between the sidewalk and the cantilevering ceiling of the ground floor by the intersection of Church and Leonard Streets, is the work of Anish Kapoor, the creator of Chicago’s chrome steel-plated Cloud Gate and the ArcelorMittal Orbit from the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Herzog & de Meuron and Hill West Architects are the designers of the tower, one of the tallest structures in Lower Manhattan.

Seaport Residences’ Future Remains Uncertain in Financial District, Manhattan

Work remains stalled on Seaport Residences, a 60-story residential skyscraper formerly known as One Seaport at 161 Maiden Lane in the Financial District. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Fortis Property Group LLC with Ray Builders as the contractor, the 670-foot-tall tower is planned to yield 200,000 square feet and 80 units with interior design by Groves & Co.
