Skyline Tower, 23-15 44th Drive is rapidly rising toward its 778-foot-high roof parapet in Long Island City. Work has surpassed the halfway mark on the 67-story residential skyscraper, which will soon become the tallest building in New York City outside of Manhattan. Hill West Architects is the building’s designer, while Whitehall Interiors is in charge of the interior design. United Construction & Development Group is the developer and Modern Spaces is the exclusive marketing and sales agency for the 802 residences, which will range in prices from $500,000 to $4 million.
Excavation and the insertion of pilings have commenced for a new 26-story, mixed-use structure at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Hill West Architects will be responsible for the design, while Fortis Property Group is the developer of the 360,000-square-foot project that will stand 270 feet tall and come with 74 apartments, averaging 2,400 square feet apiece.
YIMBY recently went on a tour of Jeanne Gang’s 620-foot-tall, 57-story skyscraper at 11 Hoyt Street, which has topped out in Downtown Brooklyn. Tishman Speyer is the developer of the Studio Gang-designed project that will give a bold and unique focal point to the neighborhood’s rapidly transforming skyline. The wavy, bright glass and precast façade is rising fast and will soon form a curtain wall with a distinctive rippling appearance. Edmund Hollander of Hollander Design is in charge of the landscaping for the outdoor green space above the motor courtyard and podium section. Interiors are being designed by Michaelis Boyd Associates and Hill West is the architect of record.
