Construction is progressing on 555 Greenwich Street, a 16-story office building in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by the joint venture Hudson Square Properties, which includes Trinity Church Wall Street, Hines, and Norges Bank Investment Management, the structure will yield 270,000 square feet and will connect on nearly every floor with an adjacent building at 345 Hudson Street via a horizontal overbuild. Together, the complex will comprise 715,000 leasable square feet. The property is located along Greenwich Street between Charlton and King Streets.

One Madison Avenue’s Renovation and Expansion Progresses in The Flatiron District, Manhattan

Work continues to progress on One Madison Avenue, a 1.4-million-square-foot, 27-story office tower expansion in Midtown, Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by SL Green, the project involves the construction of a steel-framed structure atop the current eight-story building, which was partially demolished and is in the process of being excavated and gutted. The property takes up a full block bound by East 23rd and 24th Streets and Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South, and sits directly adjacent to the 112-year-old Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower. The developers, which also include the National Pension Service of Korea and Hines, successfully acquired $1.25 billion in construction financing and are aiming to achieve both WELL and LEED Gold certification, as well as incorporating state-of-the-art HVAC and circulation systems to improve interior air quality and overall cleanliness. AECOM Tishman is serving as the general contractor.

2330 Broadway Stands Topped Out Over The Upper West Side

The vertical pace of construction on 2330 Broadway in the past three and a half months shows a remarkable sense of progress. The reinforced concrete edifice now stands topped out at 18 stories tall and will eventually open as a senior living facility on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Welltower, Inc. and Hines, the 230-foot-tall building will yield a total of 162 residences that will be spread across 109,315 square feet, averaging 674 square feet apiece. YIMBY last reported that the supportive programming will specifically focus on providing memory care, while half of the units will be reserved for seniors with memory and cognitive disorders. Broadway 85 LLC is the owner and Hunter Robert Construction Group is the general contractor for the project, located at the corner of Broadway and West 85th Street.
