The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) will soon review proposals from Morris Adjmi Architects and Hope Street Capital to construct a seven-story residential building behind a historic church at 959 Sterling Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Known today as the Hebron Seventh Day Adventist School, the structure was originally completed in 1889 and designated a New York City landmark in 2011.

Exterior work is wrapping up on 98 Front Street, a ten-story residential building in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Designed by ODA, the reinforced concrete structure features the firm’s signature irregular cubic massing and will contain condominiums with 100 distinct layouts. Hope Street Capital is in charge of sales for the units, which range from studios to four-bedroom homes and start at $670,000.

Foundation Work and Concrete Pouring Underway at 80 Adams Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn

A tipster’s photos of the impending 10-story residential project at 80 Adams Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn shows progress on the foundations, which are now being poured and laid with concrete and rebar. 165 units will occupy a site that previously featured a Jehovah’s Witness parking garage. The site was bought for around $60 million and is currently owned by Jeffrey Gershon of Hope Street Capital. ODA is the designer of the new building, which will eventually rise 120 feet above the streets below, and contain nearly 186,000 square feet of interior space. Triton Construction Company is the general contractor.
