Related Companies has opened three model units at 35 Hudson Yards, the second residential skyscraper within the new West Side neighborhood.
Construction of a new 46-story, dual-brand Marriott hotel at 140 West 28th Street in Manhattan is now topped out. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architects for the McSam Hotel Group, the structure stands 470 feet above Chelsea with exterior cladding that resembles a single, continuous metal panel.
The Westchester City Planning Board has greenlit the development of Tryp Hotel by Wyndam at 115 Cedar Street in downtown New Rochelle. The 24-story hotel will contain 225 short stay rooms in addition to a flexible event center.
Permits have been filed for a four-story hotel at 2320 Coney Island Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Located on the corner of Avenue T and Coney Island Avenue, the lot is five blocks west of the Avenue U subway station, serviced by the Q train. Nehalkumar Gandhi under the 2320 Coney LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The long-planned redevelopment and vertical expansion of Harlem’s Historic Victoria Theatre at 233 West 125th Street is one step closer to completion with both residential and hotel components officially topped out. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Exact Capital Group and Lam Group, the expanded property includes a new 26-story, 210-key Marriott Renaissance Hotel and an adjacent 27-story, 191-unit apartment tower.
