Designed by ODA Architecture with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the 56-story tower is the taller of the two structures in TF Cornerstone‘s Hunters Point South development. The building stands just to the north of its 46-story, 475-foot-tall sibling at 52-41 Center Boulevard, and the pair will bring a total of 1,194 residential units to the East River waterfront. Of these, 719 will be designated for affordable housing.

Construction is moving along on a pair of residential buildings at the Hunters Point South Towers development in Hunters Point, Queens. Workers are preparing to pour the fourth floor of what will become a 46-story, 394-unit structure at 52-41 Center Boulevard, while rebar is protruding from the site of the taller, 56-story tower at 52-03 Center Boulevard in preparation for the formation of the ground floor columns and walls. The official groundbreaking ceremony for TF Cornerstone‘s two-towered Hunters Point South project in Long Island City will be held today. In addition to over 1,000 new apartments, the site will give rise to what will temporarily become the tallest skyscraper on Queens’ East River waterfront. Fresh renderings have also been released, revealing additional exterior details of the buildings as well as the landscaped greenery and waterfront esplanade. The buildings’ addresses are 52-03 and 52-41 Center Boulevard.
