45 Park Place’s Superstructure Approaches Topping-Out 667 Feet Atop Tribeca

Construction is getting very close to topping out at 45 Park Place, one of the newest towers to rise along the border of Tribeca and the Financial District. The upcoming 667-foot-tall residential skyscraper is being designed by SOMA Architects, with Ismael Leyva Architects serving as the executive and residential architect. Sharif el-Gamal of Soho Properties is the developer of the reinforced concrete structure, which will stand 43 stories high. Sales of the units, which feature interiors designed by Piero Lissoni, are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine.

Ismael Leyva Architects is the designer of the nearly 190,500-square-foot project. Canas Solutions, Inc. is the filing representative while Cactus Holdings, Inc. is the owner of the 35,606-square-foot site. The project sits on a corner lot and is located south of Fordham University. It also sits very close to the Fordham Metro-North train station. The B and D train can be accessed at the Fordham Road subway station, which is only five minutes to the west.

Standing 38 stories above Hudson Park is 515 West 36th Street. After excavation and foundation work began in 2016, the new mixed-use building now rises 418 feet. Located between the northern tip of Hudson Boulevard East and 10th Avenue, the site is a little over 328,000 square feet of newly built space. The reinforced concrete structure topped out in the summer of 2017 and is now fully enclosed in a reflective glass curtain wall. Ismael Leyva Architects is the designer, with Lalezarian Properties as the developer.

Set to rise 667 feet atop a block that’s now been dubbed part of Tribeca, 45 Park Place is approaching topping-out. Designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva serving as the executive and residential architect, the tower is being developed by Sharif el-Gamal’s Soho Properties. The new 43-story skyscraper will have interiors designed by Piero Lissoni while sales of the units are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine. The building is now climbing past the 36th floor, where the last major setback on the eastern elevation is located.
