New York-based ODA Architecture has revealed another playfully designed residential building, at 310 East 86th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Reminiscent of the firm’s previous commissions, which are characterized by expressive cubic design language, this new development features a series of boxy setbacks and graceful cantilevers that incorporate private outdoor spaces on the upper levels.
New plans for 310 East 86th Street will see the condominium project nearly double in size. Located in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Yorkville between First and Second Avenues, and only steps away from the Q and R trains at the 86th Street subway station, the site made news recently after Izaki Group Investments purchased and acquired three apartment buildings from Extell.
Demolition permits have been filed for 308, 310, 312, and 314 East 86th Street, by 2nd Avenue, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, all by the same developer. The buildings are right next to the new 86th Street Subway Station, serviced by the Q train. The sites are owned by Izaki Group Investments, who were reported as purchasing three of the sites in March of 2017 for $42 million, from Extell Development, which purchased the sites in April of 2016.
