Two warehouses in Ridgewood, Queens will be no more. The Loketch Group just acquired two vacant structures at 801 Wyckoff Avenue and 819 Wyckoff Avenue for $11.25 million. They present up to 43,000 square feet of development potential and Loketch plans to use just about all of it for a new residential project. They’re planning a 42,971 square-foot, five-story building with 54 units. The average size will be 795 square feet and 29 of the units will be duplexes. There will also be 1,000 square feet of recreation space on the top floor, along with a 420 square-foot roof deck. It has been designed by J Frankl Associates.

YIMBY can barely keep up with all the new construction projects in the East Williamsburg-Bushwick industrial zone, and today we have renderings for a pretty unusual commercial development at 101 Bogart Street, right near the Morgan Avenue L train stop. The six-story building will hold a hotel and a house of worship.
So far this month, we’ve covered the Loketch Group’s planned 54-unit building in Ridgewood, and the design for the firm’s planned conversion and expansion on South 3rd Street in Williamsburg. Now we’ve got the first look at one of the developer’s ground-up projects in East Flatbush, 490 Lefferts Avenue.
In April of 2014, YIMBY brought you news of A-1 Properties’ planned mixed-use building at 802 Myrtle Avenue, in northern Bedford-Stuyvesant, and now Curbed has the reveal, designed by J. Frankl Associates (with Charles Mallea serving as architect of record). The project’s figures have been revised, and plans now call for a nine-story, 44-unit rental building, which will also include 5,700 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Completion is expected in the second half of 2016.
The Department of Buildings recently approved plans to transform a humble three-story brick storefront with apartments in Williamsburg into this metallic-looking six-story building. The century-old building at 555 Grand Street will expand from two apartments to 12, and gain 3,000 square feet of residential space for a new total of 8,668 square feet.
