Today, YIMBY has a new look for 83 Humboldt Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The building will be shifting away from its original brushed aluminum and wood paneling. The facade will include masonry between floor-to-ceiling windows of various widths, for a seemingly randomized façade pattern. Eight light fixtures on the edge of the building add an unusual flare. Beam Group is responsible for the design.

Applications for alterations to an existing four-story building at 624 East 9th Street flew under the radar late last year, when permits for interior modifications were filed with the Department of Buildings. But beyond the revamp to the insides, the structure, located in Alphabet City, is actually going to receive a complete redo of its exterior as well, as YIMBY can now reveal.
Back in April of 2016, YIMBY reported on new building applications for 846 Monroe Street, in Brooklyn’s Ocean Hill neighborhood. Since then, work has begun on the vacant, 28-foot-wide lot, and now, we have the reveal for the project, which is being designed by Joshua Felix of J Goldman Design/BEAM Group.
A formerly abandoned house at 860 Macon Street in northern Bedford-Stuyvesant is getting a dramatic upgrade and expansion, and YIMBY has a rendering of what’s in store.
