Curtain wall installation is closing in on the 754-foot-tall pinnacle of 537 Summit Avenue, the second and tallest skyscraper in the three-tower Journal Squared complex in Jersey City. Designed by HWKN/Hollwich Kushner and Handel Architects and developed by Kushner Real Estate Group, the buildings stand out dramatically from their isolated position west of downtown.
The Namdar Group and Modern Spaces have officially launched leasing at MRK, a new 16-story rental tower in Jersey City. Located at 97 Newkirk Street, the building is the most recent rental property to debut in the city’s Journal Square neighborhood.
Journal Square Urby will soon break ground following approvals from Jersey City’s Division of Planning. Located at 571-577 Pavonia Avenue, the building will rise 25 stories and contain a mix of rental apartments, amenity spaces, and dedicated office space for the on-site leasing team.
Hudson County executive Tom DeGise and Jersey City mayor Steven M. Fulop are working in partnership to create a new three-acre public park in Journal Square, New Jersey. The park will debut as part of the forthcoming Honorable Frank J. Guarini Justice Complex, which also includes a mix of public and civic facilities.
Developers recently celebrated the commencement of construction at 36 Jones Street in central Jersey City. Located just south of the Journal Square’s major transportation plaza, the five-story building will eventually contain ten apartments, amenity space, and approximately 900 square feet of ground floor retail.
