Tishman Speyer Achieves Full Occupancy for “The JACX,” at 28-07 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City

YIMBY has word that Tishman Speyer has finalized lease agreements for all 1.2 million square feet of its recently completed office development known as “The JACX,” in Long Island City. While the property has not officially debuted, the building’s list of tenants includes Macy’s, Inc., New York-Presbyterian, Bloomingdale’s, WeWork, and a primary care practice operated by Weill Cornell Medicine.

Long Island City’s Future Tallest Skyscraper, Skyline Tower, Now Rising Above Street Level

Already several floors above street level in the heart of Long Island City, Court Square City View Tower, aka 23-15 44th Drive, is rising steadily towards its 778-foot tall pinnacle above Queens. The building will have 67 floors of residential living, and rise higher than the stepped crown of the Citibank building, aka One Court Square, which will make it the tallest building in all of Queens. CSCVT is currently the 22nd-tallest tower rising in the Five Boroughs overall, and is set to contain nearly one million square feet of space, with 802 units. The project is being designed by Hill West Architects while the developer is United Construction & Development Group.

24-16 Queens Plaza South Gets Ready for its Façade, Long Island City, Queens

The Streamline Moderne-inspired tower rising at 24-16 Queens Plaza South is not the tallest building in the burgeoning blocks of Long Island City, but it may be one of the most interesting at the moment. While most others resemble the traditional contemporary glass box, the rolling terraces along the western edge of this warehouse expansion give it a unique identity. Woods Bagot Architects are responsible for the design.The 23-story building will yield over 100,000 square feet, creating a total of 117 residencies. Future tenants will have access to a range of amenities, including an open-air rooftop deck, a pool, an exercise center, and co-working spaces. More amenities will be announced upon completion.
