13-Story, 78-Unit Residential Building Wraps Up At 331 East Houston Street, Lower East Side

Construction has wrapped up at 331 East Houston Street, on the Lower East Side, where Halpern Real Estate Ventures has built a 13-story, 78-unit residential building, per EV Grieve. The building measures 57,560 square feet, which means units average 740 square feet, and 16 apartments are set aside as affordable. SBJ Group designed the building, and occupancy is likely planned in the next few weeks once the remaining scaffolding is deconstructed.

Site Of Stalled 12-Story Building At 208 Delancey Street Hits Market, Lower East Side

Yan Po Zhu, the developer of a planned 12-story, 69-unit mixed-use building at 208 Delancey Street on the Lower East Side, is selling the construction site — currently four stories up in steel framing — for $35.5 million. According to Bowery Boogie, the 67,300 square-foot building is being designed by Michael Kang, and an 8,350 square-foot community facility is expected to occupy the ground floor. Construction stalled out roughly a year ago.


149 Rivington Street

Four-Story Mixed-Use Building To Be Expanded To Six Stories At 149 Rivington Street, Lower East Side

Silvershore Properties has acquired the four-story mixed-use building at 149 Rivington Street, on the Lower East Side, for $2.8 million. The firm plans to overhaul and expand the building, according to Bowery Boogie. Two stories will be added on top, and two duplex apartments and retail units will be carved out of the existing structure. Permits have yet to be filed with the DOB.


165 Chrystie Street

Renderings For 10-Story, Nine-Unit Condo Building At 165 Chrystie Street, Lower East Side

In early 2014, YIMBY brought you news of plans for a 10-story, nine-unit condominium building at 165 Chrystie Street, on the Lower East Side, and now Curbed has the first renderings. The 17,170 square-foot building will have full-floor units averaging 1,910 square feet. DRK Chrystie LLC is developing and ODA Architecture is designing the project. The existing three-story building must first be removed; demolition permit were filed in December 2014.


355 Grand Street

Six-Story Mixed-Use Building Filed At 355 Grand Street, Lower East Side

Interboro Realty Management has filed applications for a six-story, two-unit mixed-use building at 355 Grand Street on the Lower East Side. The building will measure 6,535 square feet, and will feature retail space on the ground floor and offices on the second. Two units will spread across the remaining 4,580 square feet beginning on the third floor. Shiming Tam is the architect of record, and an existing three-story townhouse must first be demolished.
