29-Story Senior Residential Facility Planned At 1802 2nd Avenue, Yorkville

Merchants Hospitality and Maplewood Senior Living are co-developing a 29-story, 213,000 square-foot residential facility for seniors at the corner of 2nd Avenue and East 93rd Street, in northern Yorkville. According to the New York Post, the four- and five-story tenement buildings spanning the lots 1802-1810 2nd Avenue and 303-305 East 93rd Street were acquired for a total $111 million over the course of two years. The buildings are expected to be demolished.



558 West 161st Street

Five-Story, Seven-Unit Residential Building Filed At 558 West 161st Street, Washington Heights

Chet Simunovich’s Eastern Allied Construction Co. has filed applications for a five-story, seven-unit residential building on the 16-foot-wide vacant lot at 558 West 161st Street, in southern Washington Heights. The building will measure 5,462 square feet in total, which works out to units averaging 780 square feet. Gerald Caliendo is the architect of record, and the NYC HDP demolished the property’s three-story predecessor in 2013.


809 Broadway

15-Story Condo & Retail Project At 809 Broadway Lands Financing, Greenwich Village

IDM Capital, manager to the developer 809 Broadway Associates LLC, has received a $30 million construction loan for their 15-story, 10-unit condominium building at 809 Broadway, three blocks south of Union Square, in Greenwich Village. According to Commercial Observer, the project, an expansion of the existing five-story building, will measure 40,000 square feet, with a 5,000 square-foot retail portion spanning the ground and basement levels. ODA is designing, and completion is expected in 2017 or 2018.


39 Clarkson Street

Six-Story Building At 39 Clarkson Street Seeks Condo Conversion & Expansion, West Village

Property owner Jeff Alexander and developer Summit Equities are planning to convert the six-story manufacturing building at 39 Clarkson Street, in the West Village, into nine condominiums. According to DNAinfo, three more stories will be added up top, and the cellar will be excavated to accommodate four parking spaces. A variance from the city is required for the conversion.
