Work is underway at 842 Sixth Avenue in NoMad, where the world’s tallest modular hotel will soon rise. Designed by Danny Forster & Architecture, the 26-story building will house the AC NoMad Hotel by Marriott International and will eclipse the Lower East Side’s citizenM New York Bowery Hotel for the record. Concord Hospitality is the developer of the 100,000-square-foot project, which will contain 168 guest rooms, terraces, and a rooftop bar.

Construction on the Ritz Carlton Hotel at 1185 Broadway in NoMad has surpassed the podium levels and formation of the floor slabs for the main hotel portion is well underway. Located at the northern intersection of Broadway and West 28th Street, the reinforced concrete structure is set to rise 580 feet and yield 150,000 square feet of space and 250 guest rooms. The 40-story skyscraper is designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by MarriottRitz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties. The interiors are being designed by Yabu Pushelberg.

The future NoMad site of the Ritz Carlton Hotel at 1185 Broadway is making progress. The first several high-ceiling floors for the podium have been created. Construction workers reached the fourth floor and the start of the main hotel portion of the reinforced concrete structure should soon follow. This is going to be a $500 million Midtown skyscraper, which is located at the northern intersection of Broadway and West 28th Street. It is designed by Rafael Vinoly, while MarriottRitz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties are the three developers. The interiors are being designed by Yabu Pushelberg. The Ritz Carlton will top out at 40 stories tall and reach 580 feet above street level.

Gene Kaufman’s 39-Story 215 Pearl Street Finally Nears Completion, in The Financial District

Gene Kaufman’s upcoming Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn at 215 Pearl Street is steadily getting closer to the finish line. The project is a 396-foot-tall and 39-story hotel in the heart of Lower Manhattan’s Financial District. 320 suites are expected to be created inside the 165,655-square-foot reinforced concrete structure. Rooms will begin on the fifth floor, and terminate on the 37th floor. Nobutaka Ashihara Architects is the architect of record, while Lam Group is the developer of the project. The site is located at the intersection of Pearl Street and Platt Street.
