City officials have approved plans submitted by Slate Property Group to construct a new mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Located at 570 Fulton Street, the structure is designed by Hill West Architects and will contain a combination of market-rate apartments, affordable housing, and office space.
Another major milestone was reached last Friday in conjunction with the celebratory opening of Hudson Yards. 35 Hudson Yards, a 1,000-foot-tall, Skidmore Owings & Merrill-designed supertall, launched sales of its 143 residential units. David Childs is the architect of the glass and Jura limestone skyscraper, which is the tallest residential tower at Hudson Yards. Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group are the two developers for the 1.1-million-square-foot tower. The interiors are being designed by Tony Ingrao while sales are being handled by Related Sales and Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.
Permits were recently filed for a five-story, mixed-use residential building at 134 Erasmus Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The site sits at the intersection of Erasmus Street and Lloyd Street. The closest subways are the 2 and 5 train at the Church Avenue station. Prospect Park is about a 20-minute walk to the northwest. The site is located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Pearson Street and sits not too far from the Court Square subway station on the 7 train.
