Exterior work is still wrapping up on Madison House, NoMad’s tallest residential skyscraper at 126 Madison Avenue. Alternately addressed as 15 East 30th Street, the 805-foot-tall, 62-story tower is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Fosun Group and JD Carlisle. Douglas Elliman is handling sales and marketing of its 199 condominiums. The project also includes 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Exterior work is getting closer to completion on Rose Hill, a 639-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 30 East 29th Street in NoMad. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Rockefeller Group, the topped out 45-story tower will contain 123 condominiums marketed by CORE Real Estate. The envelope features Art Deco inspired appointments, setting it apart from other new developments in the neighborhood.
Work is moving along at 500 West 22nd Street, an eight-story mixed-use project in Chelsea that YIMBY first reported on in late April 2016. Alternately addressed as 197 Tenth Avenue, the structure is designed by Union Street Studio LLC and developed by Brantwood Capital and will yield eight residential units. The building is located at the intersection of Tenth Avenue and West 22nd Street not far from the High Line, and will span 33,662 square feet with 1,959 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and cellar levels.
Exterior work is progressing on the topped-out Ritz Carlton Hotel at 1185 Broadway in NoMad as the curtain wall approaches the building’s 580-foot-tall pinnacle. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Marriott, Ritz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 40-story skyscraper will yield 150,000 square feet and 250 guest rooms, which will sit above a multi-story podium rising from the corner of Broadway and West 28th Street.
The modestly tall superstructure of 1245 Broadway recently reached its 23-story summit. The ground-up office development is designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill at the corner of West 31st Street and Broadway, and is among one of several new projects being built in NoMad. Co-developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klovern, the 318-foot-tall building will bring 200,000 square feet of commercial space. StructureTech NY and Triton Construction are in charge of construction, and CBRE began leasing the class A office space in late 2019.
