Four Stories, Six Residential Units Coming To 33-20 104th Street, North Corona

Frank Lam has filed applications for two four-story, multi-family buildings at 33-20 – 33-22 104th Street, in North Corona, located five blocks north of the 7 train’s stop at 103rd Street. Each building will measure 2,767 square feet and contain three residential units; at one per floor, two units will occupy the first two floors, while a duplex will span the top two floors. Suresh Manchanda’s Fushing-based L&C Associates is the applicant of record, and two existing single-family homes must first be demolished.


1553 East 98th Street

Two Stories, Four Residential Units Coming To 1553 East 98th Street, Canarsie

Brooklyn-based Amadu Barrie, doing business as B & Barrie LLC, has filed applications for two two-family residential buildings at 1549-1553 East 98th Street, in southern Canarsie. Although the two semi-detached buildings differ by about 400 square feet in footage, the entire development will measure 4,119 square feet, which translates into units averaging roughly 1,030 square feet. Jamaica-based Banji Awosika Architect is the applicant of record, and permits to demolish the existing single-family home were filed last August.


460 Washington Street

10-Story, 107-Unit Residential Project At 460 Washington Street Wraps Up Construction, Tribeca

Nearly a year ago, YIMBY provided a construction update on Related Companies’ 10-story, 107-unit residential building planned at 460 Washington Street, in Tribeca, and now crews are adding the finishing touches to the building, per DNAinfo. Late last year, the building topped-out, and façade installation and interior work have been ongoing since. Units will average roughly 1,300 square feet apiece, and Related will rent 22 apartments (20 percent) at below market rates; the application process has just launched. BKSK Architects is designing, and completion is expected in early 2016.


1681 Third Avenue

30-Story, 83-Unit Condo Building Under Construction At 200 East 95th Street, Upper East Side

Earlier this year, YIMBY revealed renderings of Extell Development’s 30-story, 83-unit mixed-use building planned at 200 East 95th Street/1681 Third Avenue, on the Upper East Side, and now foundation work is underway, according to DNAinfo. The building is being dubbed The Kent, and its 83 units will be condominiums spanning two- to five-bedrooms apiece. Ground-floor retail space will also measure 14,000 square feet, and Beyer Blinder Belle is the architect of record. Completion is expected in the second half of 2017.


100 West 125th Street

Five-Story, 160,000 Square-Foot Retail Building Tops Out At 100 West 125th Street, Harlem

This past summer, YIMBY brought you a construction update on the five-story commercial project at 100 West 125th Street, in Harlem, and now the building appears to have topped-out, according to Harlem+Bespoke. Jeff Sutton is developing, and the building is nearly fully reserved by a slew of retail tenants, including Whole Foods, Burlington Coat Factory, Raymour and Flanigan, and TD Bank, among others. Staten Island-based Gambino and Laporta Architecture is designing, and a 2016 opening appears likely.
