YIMBY stopped by 202 East 23rd Street in Kips Bay, the future site of a 14-story mixed-use building from Hill West Architects and SMA Equities. Recent photos from Tectonic show the state of progress at the lot, which is located at the southern corner of Third Avenue and East 23rd Street. Two vacant three-story buildings sit boarded up, awaiting the start of demolition.
Excavation is underway at 359 Second Avenue in Gramercy, site of a 13-story mixed-use residential building from Issac & Stern Architects and Silverback Development. Located on the corner of East 21st Street and Second Avenue, the structure will stand 145 feet tall and yield 97,193 square feet.

SLCE Architects has revealed a new rendering for 115 East 55th Street, a 185-foot-tall residential project underway in Midtown East. Developed by Zeckendorf Development, the 18-story project will rise directly adjacent to the eastern elevation of Norman Foster’s 425 Park Avenue.
Perhaps the most exciting skyscraper project proposed for New York last year is 350 Park Avenue, a nearly 1,500-foot-tall skyscraper from Vornado Realty Trust and Rudin Management. After YIMBY broke the news on Vornado’s expected 2027 completion date for the tower back in February, we stopped by the site to check on the status of its current occupant. Located between East 51st and East 52nd Streets, a total of two edifices would need to be demolished to make way for the development.
