Three-Story, 10-Unit Building Filed At 424 Glenmore Avenue, East New York

Chaim Simkowitz’s Guardian Realty Management has filed applications for a three-story, 10-unit residential building spanning the lots of 424-436 Glenmore Avenue in East New York, two blocks away from the Liberty Avenue C train stop. Units will average 750 square feet each, and Solomon Rosenzweig applied for the permit. Demolition began earlier this year to remove the existing two-story townhouse at No. 424.


611 West 56th Street

35-Story Condo Building At 611 West 56th Street Will Have 80 Units

A 35-story, 80-unit condominium tower, currently in the design stage, is planned at 611 West 56th Street, also known as 823 11th Avenue, in Midtown West. The building will span 162,000 square feet and stand 420 feet in height, according to Dezeen, and Álvaro Siza is designing. Sumaida + Khurana is co-developing with LENY, and construction is slated to begin in 2016, with completion in 2018. Gabellini Sheppard is designing the interiors, while SLCE Architects will serve as the architect of record. A six-story building will need to be demolished first.


9220 Skidmore Avenue

12 Residential Units Planned At 9220 Skidmore Avenue, Canarsie

Yaj Developers has filed applications for two three-story residential buildings, each with six units, at 9220-9222 Skidmore Avenue near the Shore Parkway in southern Canarsie. Each of the 12 apartments will measure a spacious average of 1,040 square feet. Roman Sorokko’s Versatile Engineering is the applicant of record. The site’s former single-story home was demolished in late 2014.



26 Goodwin Place

Seven-Unit Residential Building Coming To 26 Goodwin Place, Bushwick

Meshulam Hass has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 26 Goodwin Place, in central Bushwick, three blocks north of the Gates Avenue subway stop on the J and Z lines. Units in the 5,010 square-foot building will average 715 square feet in size, and Manish Savani is the architect of record. A dilapidated two-story structure must first be demolished.
