A Brooklyn-based property owner has filed applications for four five-story, eight-unit residential buildings at 3506 Farragut Road, located on the southern end of East Flatbush. The buildings will measure 6,500 square feet each. Across all four, the apartments should average 750 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. Asher Hershkowitz’s Brooklyn-based firm is the architect of record. The 5,700-square-foot plot is occupied by a two-story wood-framed house. Demolition permits have not been filed.

Four-Story, 10,115-Square-Foot Medical Office Building Coming to 1210 Sheepshead Bay Road, Sheepshead Bay

Queens-based Rayham Realty has filed applications for a four-story, 10,115-square-foot medical office building at 1210 Sheepshead Bay Road, in Sheepshead Bay. The medical office space will be located across the cellar through fourth floors. A 14-car parking garage will be located on parts of the cellar and ground levels. Brooklyn-based Mozer Architect Design is the architect of record. The 5,369-square-foot assemblage is occupied by a pair of single-family houses. Demolition permits for the two houses were filed in December and January, respectively.

Excavation Underway on 59-Story, 458-Unit Mixed-Use Tower Planned at 138 Willoughby Street, Downtown Brooklyn

Excavation work is well underway at the site of a planned 59-story, 458-unit mixed-use tower under development at 138 Willoughby Street, located on the corner of Flatbush Avenue Extension in Downtown Brooklyn. A photo reveals multiple excavators active on site, as well as footings for the foundation. The latest building permits have the project measuring 686,830 square feet and rising 696 feet to its parapet.

Excavation Imminent for 17-Story, 39-Unit Residential Project at 269 West 87th Street, Upper West Side

Excavation work is imminent at 269 West 87th Street, on the Upper West Side, where a 17-story, 39-unit residential building called The Chamberlain is under development. Photos reveal two excavators and a pile driver, among other materials, currently staged at the property. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 115,884 square feet and rise 215 feet to the top of its mechanical bulkhead.
