10 Hudson Yards Celebrates Last Concrete Pour, 52-Story Office Building In Hudson Yards

In late July, YIMBY brought you a construction update on 10 Hudson Yards, the first of Related and Oxford Properties’ planned Hudson Yards towers. Today, the team will celebrate the topping-out of the 52-story, 1.7-million square-foot building, which will stand 905 feet to its pinnacle. Coach, Inc., L’Oréal USA, SAP, and Vayner Media have all leased space, bringing the tower to 85% occupancy. The skyscraper will officially open to tenants in early 2016.


200 Park Avenue

Design Competition to Reclad 58-Story MetLife Building At 200 Park Avenue

Metals in Construction is launching a competition to reclad 200 Park Avenue, a.k.a the MetLife Building, which is situated directly behind Grand Central Terminal. Architects and engineers are being asked to submit plans for an updated, eco-friendly and efficient façade that would also retain the building’s heritage. 200 Park is a hulking 58-story, 3-million square-foot office building completed in 1963. Submissions are due February 1st, 2016, and $15,000 will be awarded to the team with the most innovative design.


30 Montgomery Street

Renovation For 15-Story, 320,000 Square-Foot Office Building At 30 Montgomery Street, Jersey City

Onyx Equities and Rubenstein Partners are renovating the 15-story, 320,000 square-foot office building at 30 Montgomery Street, in Jersey City’s waterfront district. According to Real Estate Weekly, the overhaul will include a glassy new two-story lobby, an updated façade, along with other improvements. The makeover is expected to be complete in December of 2015, and Cushman & Wakefield is marketing the building’s available space.


Red Hook Innovation Studios

Developer Seeking Investment Partner For Red Hook Innovation Studios, Office Complex In Red Hook

In October 2014, YIMBY revealed renderings of a multi-block, nearly 1.2-million square-foot office complex at 68 Ferris Street, in Red Hook, and since then, the Milan, Italy-based developer Est4te Four has been assembling the properties for the development. Now, Cushman & Wakefield has been tasked to market a 49% stake in the project, according to Crain’s. The project could break ground next year and is expected to be built over five years, featuring new-construction buildings and warehouse conversions. NBBJ is designing.


55 Hudson Yards

Foundation Work Underway At 55 Hudson Yards, Midtown West

YIMBY first revealed Related’s 51-story, 1.3-million square-foot office building dubbed 55 Hudson Yards in May of 2014, and then we brought you an excavation update earlier this spring. Today, per Curbed, foundation work is well underway. Kohn Pedersen Fox is designing, and completion is expected in 2017. Oxford Properties Group is co-developing, and Mitsui Fudosan also owns a 92.09 percent stake in the project.
