The Howard Hughes Corporation has received necessary approvals to construct a new 26-story mixed use development at 250 Water Street in South Street Seaport, Manhattan. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the tower will comprise a mix of market-rate and affordable rental apartments, an office component, retail space, and community facilities.

Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by the joint venture Hudson Square Properties, which includes Trinity Church Wall Street, Hines, and Norges Bank Investment Management, the structure will yield 270,000 square feet and will connect on nearly every floor with an adjacent building at 345 Hudson Street via a horizontal overbuild. Together, the complex will comprise 715,000 leasable square feet. The property is located along Greenwich Street between Charlton and King Streets.
