90 Columbus Street Nears Full Occupancy in Downtown Jersey City

Leasing at 90 Columbus in downtown Jersey City is nearing its end, with over 400 of the 529 apartments now spoken for since the 51-story tower came to market last November. 90 Columbus is the fourth and final phase of The Columbus Collection, a mixed-use development by Ironstate Development Company and Panepinto Properties. There are a total of 1,484 rental residences, a 152-suite Residence Inn by Marriott hotel, an approximate 1,000-parking space enclosed garage, and street-level retail space housing a Base Gym and Sprove Market Place.

13-Story, 240-Unit Mixed-Use Building Tops Out at 3 Journal Square Plaza, Jersey City

Construction has topped out on the 13-story, 240-unit mixed-use building under development at 3 Journal Square Plaza, in Jersey City‘s Journal Square section. Photos of the structure were recently posted to the YIMBY Forums. Dubbed The Residences at 3 Journal Square and revealed by YIMBY roughly a year ago, it will encompass 219,446 square feet. There will be retail space and residential amenities on the ground floor, followed by rental apartments above. Known amenities include a four-level underground parking garage, which the project was built atop, and a rooftop terrace. Hartz Mountain and Panepinto Properties are the developers. Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects is the design architect and the Childs Dreyfus Group is responsible for the interiors. Tocci Building Companies is managing construction. Completion can probably be expected by the end of the year.

Financing Secured for 50-Story, 539-Unit Residential Tower at 90 Christopher Columbus Drive, Jersey City

Ironstate Development and Panepinto Properties have landed $155.83 million in construction financing for their planned 50-story, 539-unit residential tower at 90 Christopher Columbus Drive (dubbed 90 Columbus), in downtown Jersey City. The tower will host rental apartments ranging from studio to three-bedroom configurations, averaging 789 square feet apiece, Real Estate Weekly reported. Amenities will include a swimming pool, children’s play areas, sports and entertainment rooms, residential lounges, and a library. The tower is the last phase of a multi-building complex, which includes the recently completed 50-story residential tower 70 Columbus and the 12-story, 152-key Marriott Residence Inn at 80 Columbus. Gwathmey, Siegel, Kaufman and Associates is behind the architecture. Foundation work is currently underway and completion is expected in 2018.
