A few years ago, a piece of the Palisades along River Road in North Bergen, New Jersey was cut back to prepare for new development. From south to north, a Starbucks Coffee, Bank of America, and Walgreens are already open. Just beyond them, a new residential development is now only months away from completion.
Back in March, the six-story, 82-unit mixed-use building began to rise at the block-thru plot at 438 East 12th Street, in the East Village. The complex now appears to be topped out, according to photos by EV Grieve. Dubbed Steiner East Village, it is to encompass 151,943 square feet. That will include 8,376 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a 961-square-foot medical offices, also on the ground floor. Its 82 condominiums, averaging 1,315 square feet apiece, will come in one- to four-bedroom configurations. Amenities include a pool and spa, a gym, a library, a children’s playroom, a courtyard, and rooftop gardens. Douglas Steiner’s New Jersey-based Steiner Equities Group, doing business as their New York arm Steiner NYC, is the developer, while S9 Architecture is behind the design. Paris Forino is responsible for the interiors and Future Green Studio is the landscape designer. Completion can be expected in 2017.
In March, updated renderings were revealed of the seven-story, 31-unit residential building under development at 610 Warren Street, in Boerum Hill, located six blocks south of the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center stop on the D/N/R trains. Now, the building is topped-out and likely getting prepared to receive its façade, as seen in a photo by Tectonic. The project, dubbed Six Ten Warren, will measure 47,050 square feet in its entirety, and its residential units should average 1,150 square feet apiece. The apartments will be condominiums ranging from one- to four-bedrooms. Amenities include a rooftop terrace, a fitness center, a children’s playroom, private residential storage, lounges, storage for 16 bikes, and a 16-car garage. Issac & Stern Architects is behind the architecture, while Paris Forino Design is designing the interiors. Adam America Real Estate is the developer. Completion is expected in the spring 0f 2017.

Now, the structure is fully topped out, according to Bowery Boogie. It measures 43,002 square feet and will eventually feature 1,836 square feet of ground-floor retail. The condominium units – being designed by Paris Forino – should average 1,023 square feet apiece and will come in one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations. As reported previously, amenities include bike storage space, private residential storage, a fitness center, and recreational space on the rooftop. DHA Capital is developing the project, while Issac & Stern Architects is behind the design. Completion can be expected before 2017.

Paris Forino Design is responsible for the interiors and Issac & Stern Architects is behind the overall design. Amenities will include a 645-square-foot rooftop terrace, a gym, a children’s playroom, private storage space, residential lounges, a parking garage, and bicycle storage. Construction is currently underway and completion can be expected in the spring of 2017.
