Permits Filed for 14-41 Broadway in Astoria, Queens

Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 14-41 Broadway in Astoria, Queens. Located between 14th Street and 21st Street, the interior lot is five blocks west of the Broadway subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Steven Rigogiannis of Plaza North 1031 is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Construction Wraps Up on 21-59 44th Drive in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is wrapping up on 21-59 44th Drive, a six-story mixed-use building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Z Architecture, the structure will bring 20 residential units, 2,600 square feet of retail space, and 361 square feet of community facilities to the northern corner of 44th Drive and 23rd Street.

The final exterior touches are underway on The Prime, a 120,000-square-foot mixed-use project at 22-43 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering and developed by Circle F, the 11-story building will yield 71 residences with interior design by Andres Escobar of Lemay + Escobar Architecture. Sales and marketing for the units is being handled by Ryan Serhant of The Serhant Team and Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing: New York. The complex is located at the confluence of 46th Avenue, Jackson Avenue, and 23rd Street.

Located at the intersection of 50th Avenue and Center Boulevard, the corner lot is two blocks west of the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Katheline M. Pierre is listed as the owner behind the applications. The development site is under project management by corporate subsidiary Kathens’ Piettokpatia and Foundation of Motion Pictures Information Enterprises.

Applications detail a 39-story mixed-use building at 2-10 54th Avenue at the intersection of 54th Avenue and 2nd Street, and a 34-story mixed-use structure at 55-01 2nd Street located between the Newtown Creek and 54th Avenue. Both sites are within walking distance of the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue subway station, serviced by the 7 train.

Skyline Tower’s Façade Wrapping Up as Exterior Hoist Comes Down, in Long Island City

Exterior work has reached the final stages on Long Island City‘s Skyline Tower, the tallest building in Queens and the outer boroughs and number 16 on our annual construction countdown. Located at 23-15 44th Drive, the 68-story, 778-foot-tall residential skyscraper is designed by Hill West Architects and developed by United Construction & Development Group, FSA Capital, and Risland US Holdings LLC, and is expected to cost $1 billion. Modern Spaces is the exclusive marketing and sales agency for the 802 residences, which are designed by Whitehall Interiors.

Located between Prince Street and Main Street, the interior lot is close to the Main Street subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Sven’s Glass Façade Nears Completion at 29-37 41st Avenue in Long Island City, Queens

Curtain wall work is nearing completion on Queens Plaza Park, aka Sven, a 762-foot-tall skyscraper at 29-37 41st Avenue in Long Island City and number 17 on our countdown of the tallest projects underway in the city. Designed by Handel Architects for The Durst Organization, the 67-story project is the second-tallest structure in Queens and will yield 978,000 square feet of mixed-use space. Selldorf Architects is serving as the interior designer, Hunter Roberts as the general contractor, and Jaros, Baum & Bolles Engineering is handling the required mechanical systems. The project is aiming for LEED certification.
