Permits have been filed for a new four-story building at 104-14 Liverpool Street, in Jamaica, Queens. The building is being developed by the American Bengali Hindu Foundation, and will be their new house of worship. The project will be a big improvement from their current situation, which is located within an open-air tent.
Families of East Elmhurst, Queens can rejoice, as a new public school will soon be coming to their neighborhood. Permits have been filed for a five-story building at 111-12 Astoria Boulevard, and the NYC School Construction Authority will be responsible for both design and development.

Today, we have the first preliminary rendering for the project, designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning, and the new building will be a massive improvement over the site’s current state.
Back in November of 2015, YIMBY reported on new building applications for 32-65 107th Street, on the corner of Northern Boulevard, in Queens’ East Elmhurst neighborhood. Today, we have the first renderings for the project, which is being designed by Flushing-based Lu Ning Architecture, PLLC.
A church in Far Rockaway, Queens, is about to be razed to make way for a mixed-use building. Permits for an eight-story structure have been submitted for 1414 Central Avenue, six blocks away from the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue Subway station, at the end of the A train. Kingspoint Heights Development is the developer, and the project would be built on the site of the Community Church–the Nazarene.
