The property will most likely operate under the Howard Johnson brand, which completed another 10-story hotel four blocks northwest at 38-61 12th Street in 2014. The project’s developer is Ratan Realty Three LLC, with Michael Kang serving as the architect.

The new facility will feature a garage, offices, and storage space on the ground floor, an equipment room on a mezzanine level, and a meeting room, a kitchen, additional offices, and a dormitory on the second floor. John D. Calcagnile’s Howard Beach-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 23,004-square-foot plot of land is vacant.
