An anonymous Astoria-based LLC has filed applications for a five-story, 10-unit residential project at 14-11 31st Avenue, in western Astoria. The new building will measure 8,511 square feet and its residential units should average 731 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. There will be three off-street parking spaces. Gerald J. Caliendo’s Briarwood-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 3,687-square-foot lot is occupied by a two-story townhouse. Demolition permits have not been filed.

A Queens-based property owner has filed applications for twin two-story, two-family semi-detached houses at 206-30 46th Avenue, in southern Bayside. The houses will measure 2,601 square feet each, and across both, their residential units should average 900 square feet apiece. Each building will feature a single enclosed parking space. Brooklyn-based A+ Design & Remodeling is the architect of record. The 50-foot-wide, 2,500-square-foot property is occupied by a single-story garage. Demolition permits were filed in August.

Eight-Story, 97-Unit Residential Building Filed At 89-07 148th Street, Jamaica

Four detached wood-frame houses near downtown Jamaica may bite the dust for a sizable residential building. Plans were filed last week to erect eight stories of apartments on the site where the houses currently stand, at 89-07 148th Street. The 74-foot-tall development would rise between 89th and 90th Avenues, a block west of Rufus King Park and across the street from the monolithic Queens Civil Court building. The building would have 97 apartments squeezed into 64,509 square feet of residential space, for average units measuring a rental-sized 665 square feet.

New details, as well as a rendering, have been released for the five-story, 11-unit residential project under development at 26-14 28th Street, in the heart of Astoria. Dubbed BLVD, it will measure 16,164 square feet and its residential units should average 988 square feet apiece. They will be condominiums ranging from one- to two-bedrooms, according to the project’s marketing agent Modern Spaces. MCV Developers and World Holdings LLC are the developers. CB Architecture & Engineering is behind the design. Construction is likely wrapping up, with move-ins imminent.

Flushing-based Success Team Realty has filed applications for a six-story, 10-unit residential building at 42-18 147th Street, in East Flushing. The project will measure 9,081 square feet and its residential units should average 734 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng’s Maspeth-based Architects Studio is the architect of record. The new building will replace a two-story rowhouse. The lot the existing structure is on measures 21 feet wide and its area is 2,445 square feet. Demolition permits haven’t been filed. The Long Island Rail Road’s Murray Hill station is five blocks away.
