Developers are proposing the two-story building in Douglaston, Queen, one of the more affluent low-rise residential neighborhoods in the city. Construction has started for an eleven-story Marriott hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport, in Queens. The 270,000-square foot structure will create 540 rooms, along with 4,000 square feet of meeting space, a lounge, a drinking establishment, offices, a fitness center, and parking. Gene Kaufman Architects will be responsible for the exterior design, as well as the interiors, public spaces, and guest rooms.
