The affordable housing lottery has launched for 43-46 51st Street, a nine-story mixed-use building in Sunnyside, Queens. Designed by Raymond Chan Architect, the structure yields 75 residences, 31 parking spaces, and 8,624 square feet of commercial space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 23 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $43,612 to $187,330.

New Rendering Spotted For 27-49 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens

A new rendering has emerged for 27-49 Jackson Avenue revealing a dramatic change in design for the stalled project in Long Island CityQueens. Originally designed by Raymond Chan Architect and developed by ARCFE, work began in 2018 on what was to be a 14-story, 146-foot-tall residential building with 37 units. The site has sat idle for the past couple of years, with only a partial section of the reinforced concrete superstructure formed. While the dimensions and scope of the new iteration remain unclear, the rendering shows that the building’s footprint will be extended further to the east to the corner of Jackson Avenue and 42nd Road. 27-51 Jackson Avenue is the current owner of the property and DHC Contracting Inc. is now the general contractor.

139 Bowery Stands Topped Out on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

Construction has topped out on 139 Bowery, a 14-story mixed-use building in the Bowery section of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Raymond Chan Architects and developed by Global Joint Venture, the structure will yield 16 residential units, ground-floor retail space, a 550-square-foot medical facility, and commercial office space spanning floors two through five. Mandarin Enterprises is the general contractor for the building, which is located between Broome and Grand Streets.
