Related’s 50 Hudson Yards Will Rise, Mitsui Fudosan Takes 90% Ownership Stake

Last week, YIMBY revealed a few new renderings for Related’s behemoth office tower 50 Hudson Yards, which is set to rise on the southwest corner of 34th Street and 10th Avenue. While partial permits have already been filed, it appears that the entire tower will imminently be moving forward, with an announcement yesterday on the Nikkei that Mitsui Fudosan would take a 90% stake in the project, which is valued at $3.6 billion.

55 Hudson Yards Tops Out 51 Floors and 780 Feet Above Street Level, Midtown West

Yesterday, YIMBY brought you fresh renderings of Related’s planned supertall at 50 Hudson Yards. While permits for that project were only partially filed earlier this year, across Hudson Park & Boulevard, the building’s sibling at 55 Hudson Yards has now officially topped-out, as seen in the latest photos from Tectonic.

The entirety of Hudson Yards is buzzing with activity. Each week seems to bring additional superlative announcements from the various corners of the neighborhood, with One Manhattan West, 35 Hudson Yards, and 15 Hudson Yards all rising above ground level over the past month. YIMBY now has fresh renderings of the last building thanks to Related, and the Diller Scofidio + Renfro/Rockwell Group-designed tower is now on its way to a 910-foot pinnacle.

33-Story, 179-Unit Mixed-Use Building Tops Out at 520 West 30th Street in Chelsea

A 33-story, 179-unit mixed-use building has reached its peak at 520 West 30th Street. Construction officially topped off on August 18th, according to a spokesperson for the developer, Related Companies. Photos posted to the YIMBY forums by JC_Heights and Tectonic show that structure’s frame is being filled out and installation of the glassy facade appears about halfway complete.

Façade Work Wrapping Up at 261 Hudson Street, Hudson Square

Scoping Out the Views from Condo Conversion Manhattan View at MiMA

The huge MiMA residential building, designed by Arquitectonica, opened in Hell’s Kitchen in 2011. Its 500 rental units stretching up to the 49th floor were topped with a further 151 units across 13 more floors. Those luxury units were known as One MiMA Tower, and they opened in 2012. Now, they are undergoing a change, and YIMBY got the first look inside.

Related Companies’ luxury rental development at 205 East 92nd Street, in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Carnegie Hill, is set for occupancy in May. Now, we have a new renderings, both exterior and interior, of the coming development, now dubbed The Easton. If the address sounds familiar, the building used to be known as the Henley.
