The BKSK Architects-designed, Related-developed project at 456 Washington Street, in northwestern TriBeCa, is nearing the finish line. Listings launched this morning, and now we have exclusive new renderings of its amenities.
In April, Pace Gallery announced plans to redevelop its main building at 540 West 25th Street in Chelsea into an eight-story gallery complex. Now, developer Weinberg Properties has pushed forward with the project by filing applications for a 60,000-square-foot building on the site between 10th and 11th avenues.
Pacific Park’s first affordable rental building has topped out at 535 Carlton Avenue, according to PR reps for the project. Construction began just over a year ago, and now all 19 stories of concrete have risen at the corner of Pacific Street and Carlton Avenue.
Property owner Menohem Chukroon has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 32 Schaefer Street, in eastern Bushwick, located three blocks from the Chauncey Street stop on the J and Z trains. The new structure will encompass 7,438 square feet in total and will include 5,498 square feet of residential space. There will be two units on each floor and each unit will average 687 square feet, which means rentals are in the works. Long Island-based Shahriar Afshari is the architect of record. A two-story, single-family home must first be demolished.
In the final days of 2014, YIMBY reported on applications for an eight-story, 78-unit residential building at 2100 Bedford Avenue, in northern Flatbush, located within five blocks from stops on the Q, 2, and 5 trains. In early 2015, demolition was underway on three 2.5-story wood-framed houses, and by the summer the properties were cleared. Construction began sometime after, and within the last few weeks, the structure has topped out, as seen in photos by Tectonic. The 86,622 square-foot balconied structure will have 60,364 square feet of residential space, which means rental units will average 774 square feet apiece. Floral Park-based Metropolitan Homes is developing and Karl Fischer Architect is designing the project.
