Five-Story, Eight-Unit Rental Building Coming To 1255 Decatur Street, Bushwick

S Land Development has filed applications for a five-story, eight-unit residential building at 1255 Decatur Street, in eastern Bushwick, three short blocks away from the Wilson Avenue stop on the L line. Units will average 665 square feet apiece, indicating that the 5,310 square-foot building will be probably be a rental. The existing recessed two-story, two-unit structure passed pre-demolition inspection in 2014, and Charles Diehl is the architect of record.

Six Units Replacing Two-Story Home At 267 Ainslie Street, Williamsburg

An LLC has filed applications for a four-story, six-unit residential building at 267 Ainslie Street, in eastern Williamsburg, two blocks south of the L’s Graham Avenue stop. The structure will measure 5,000 square feet in total, which works out to units averaging roughly 835 square feet in size. An existing two-story, 1,650 square-foot townhouse must first be demolished, and Woody Chen’s InFocus is the applicant of record.

YIMBY previously posted renderings of a tentative redesign and redevelopment set for the Macy’s store in Downtown Brooklyn, and now we have another submission from the project’s competition, though evidently this creation was not selected. The design comes from Leeser Architecture and would have featured two residential towers in addition to new and revamped retail space.

As development in Brooklyn pushes further east, apartment buildings are slowly filling the sleepy triangular piece of Bed Stuy known as Ocean Hill, near Broadway Junction in East New York. A tipster has sent YIMBY a rendering for one such development, a 32-unit building at 1325 Herkimer Street.

The Bedford-Nostrand G train stop is ground zero for new construction in Bed Stuy, and yesterday, plans were filed to construct a six-story building a few blocks to the east at 253 Tompkins Avenue, across the street from Herbert Von King Park.

14-Unit Condo Project Filed At 227 Clarkson Avenue, Prospect Lefferts Gardens

Brookland Capital has filed applications for a six-story, 14-unit residential building at the vacant lot of 227 Clarkson Avenue, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a two minute walk from the Winthrop stop serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. The building will measure roughly 10,000 square feet, which translates to units averaging 715 square feet; surprisingly, they will be condominiums. The site was acquired for $1.35 million earlier this year, according to DNAinfo, and Feingold & Gregory Architects is designing.

Small Development Site Up For Grabs At 89 Cooper Street, Inwood

Helm Equities Cooper LLC has placed their single-story retail building at 85-95 Cooper Street, in Inwood, on the market for $4.25 million, according to DNAinfo. GFI Realty Services is marketing the site, which boasts 13,132 square feet of development potential, the equivalent of a seven-story building on the property.

Extreme Homes Group has filed applications for a four-story, four-unit residential building at the vacant lot at 259 Kosciuszko Street, in northern Bedford-Stuyvesant, two blocks east of the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues stop on the G line. The building will measure 3,615 square feet, which works out to units of roughly 900 square feet. Gerald Caliendo is designing.

Eight-Family Residential Building Coming To 1709 Park Place, Crown Heights

Property owner Gaby Uziel has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at the vacant lot at 1709 Park Place, in eastern Crown Heights between Ralph and Howard avenues. The building will measure 5,600 square feet, and residential units will measure an average 700 square feet. Draft Master Engineering is the applicant is record.

Affordable Buildings Revealed At 1045 Fulton Street & 911 Atlantic Avenue, Clinton Hill

Earlier this month, YIMBY brought you news of Hudson Companies’ planned 39-unit affordable building at 1045 Fulton Street, in southern Clinton Hill, and now Curbed has renderings of the project, designed by Marvel Architects. Renderings depict an eight-story building, although applications have not yet been filed with the DOB. The site has been cleared of former buildings.
