New renderings have been revealed for The Cortland, Robert A. M. Stern Architects‘ latest residential project at 555 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Developed by Related Companies with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the 25-story reinforced concrete edifice stands topped out nearly 300 feet and will yield 144 residential units spread over 250,000 square feet, for an average of 2,245 square feet. The building rises along West Street across from Hudson River Park between West 22nd and West 23rd Streets.

Construction has topped out on 139 Bowery, a 14-story mixed-use building in the Bowery section of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Raymond Chan Architects and developed by Global Joint Venture, the structure will yield 16 residential units, ground-floor retail space, a 550-square-foot medical facility, and commercial office space spanning floors two through five. Mandarin Enterprises is the general contractor for the building, which is located between Broome and Grand Streets.

Construction is rising on 241 West 28th Street, a 22-story residential project in Chelsea. Designed by COOKFOX for MAG Partners, Atalaya, Safanad, and Qualitas, the 248,000-square-foot two-tower development will yield 479 units with 30 percent reserved for low- and middle-income households. King Contracting Group is doing the brick work and Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the complex, which is located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues.
