The affordable housing lottery has launched for 445 Vanderbilt Avenue, a five-story residential building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Loketch Group, the 44,875-square-foot structure yields 43 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $83,349 to $167,570.
Curtain wall work is getting close to completion on 18 Sixth Avenue, a 49-story residential skyscraper in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by The Brodsky Organization and Greenland Forest City Partners, the 532-foot-tall, 740,000-square-foot building will yield 858 rental units, of which 258 will be dedicated to affordable housing. The project towers over the adjacent Barclays Center and is the tallest building in the 22-acre Pacific Park master plan. The rest of the development will be constructed atop the currently exposed train tracks to the east that run parallel with Atlantic Avenue. Lemay + Escobar is designing the interiors, including the main lobby, the apartments, the corridors, the outdoor terrace and the amenities.
Roseland Residential Trust recently celebrated the grand opening of RiverHouse 9, the latest residential property to debut within the Port Imperial community. The building’s official address is 900 Avenue at Port Imperial in Weehawken, New Jersey, and is the second structure to reach full completion within the residential campus.
Façade work is nearing completion on 550 Clinton Avenue, as the tower crane has been removed from the eastern elevation of the 29-story mixed-use tower in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Hope Street Capital, the 280,000-square-foot project will yield 284 apartments and about 60,000 square feet of retail area. The structure rises from a four-story podium bound by Atlantic Avenue to the south, Clinton Avenue to the east, and Vanderbilt Avenue to the west.
This week, Brooklyn’s Community Board 3 unanimously approved proposals to construct a new mixed-use affordable housing property at 1045 Atlantic Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
