Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 27 Buchanan Place, in The Bronx’s University Heights. The site is a block and a half away from the 183rd Street Subway Station, serviced by the 4 train, and seven blocks away from the 182-183rd Street Subway Station, serviced by the B and D trains.
Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 39-25 27th Street in Long Island City, Queens. The site is a dozen blocks from the East River waterfront, and five blocks away from 39th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Astoria-based Anthony Cucich will be responsible for the development and design.
Leasing has begun for two timber buildings being built at 320 and 360 Wythe Avenue, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The projects are making history by way of construction materials, and will become the first new developments in over a century to be built in New York City with a timber structure. Hansen Architects, established in 1945, will be responsible for the design.

The lot is right on the corner of Queens Boulevard, which is populated with retail and restaurant storefronts for several blocks, and YIMBY now has the reveal for the design, by Raymond Chan Architects.

The site is nearby the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center commercial intersection and Brooklyn Museum. The Clinton-Washington Avenues Station, serviced by the A and C trains, is a block away. Also nearby is the Pratt Institute campus. Afshari PC will be responsible for the design.
