This week, C3D Architecture unveiled a trio of new renderings for 618 Pavonia Avenue, a 27-story mixed-use tower in Jersey City. Now under construction, the tower will join Homestead Place, a seven-building master development from Namdar Group that will eventually comprise over 2.1 million square feet, one of the largest ongoing construction projects in the city.
A rendering has been revealed for 5055 Broadway, an 11-story residential building in Inwood, Manhattan. Designed by Fischer + Makooi Architects and developed by Timber Equities, the 43,000-square-foot structure will yield 42,000 square feet of residential space and amenities as well as ground-floor retail. The property is located between West 215th and 216th Streets, a short walk from Isham and Inwood Hill Parks. The amenity spaces will include a lounge, a fitness center, a communal roof deck, a bike room, and tenant storage.
The Gotham Organization and RiseBoro Community Partnership have revealed a collection of new renderings for Gotham Point, a dual-tower residential project located within the Hunters Point South mega-development. The property is positioned on Parcel F and Parcel G of Hunter’s Point South, which is among the largest mixed-use residential developments in Long Island City, Queens.
Façade installation is progressing on 2551-2555 Broadway, a 22-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group and developed by Extell, the 276,578-square-foot reinforced concrete structure will yield 130 residential units averaging 1,660 square feet apiece, as well as 9,080 square feet of commercial space. Leeding Builders Group, LLC is the general contractor and Paragon JV Prop. III, LLC is the owner of the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 96th Street.
As New York City and the United States remembers and commemorates the 20th anniversary of 9/11, YIMBY once again takes a look at the sacred 16-acre World Trade Center site, which holds the two square footprints of the former Twin Towers that are part of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. We focus on the active and ongoing construction of the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, and the current state of Two and Five World Trade Center. All of which are, or are around, the former trapezoidal superblock that held six of the original World Trade Center buildings bound by West, Vesey, Church, and Liberty Streets.
