Glass Curtain Wall of 45 Park Place Reaching Higher Above Tribeca

Construction has topped out at 45 Park Place as the glass curtain wall is continuing to make its way up the 43-story Tribeca superstructure. The cocoon netting has been fully removed revealing the skeleton frame of the stepped crown, which will eventually be covered with glass as well. The 667-foot-tall residential skyscraper is being developed by Sharif el-Gamal of Soho Properties and is designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva Architects serving as the executive and residential architect. Sales of the units, which feature interiors designed by Piero Lissoni, are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine.

Margaritaville Resort Making Rapid Progress at 560 Seventh Avenue in Times Square

The Margaritaville Resort is ascending swiftly at 560 Seventh Avenue in Times Square. Construction has passed the primary setback and workers are forming the floor plates for the main massing that will contain the hotel’s 234 rooms. Portions of the metal-trimmed glass façade have also begun to be installed on the tower, which will rise 29 stories. The project is designed by Stonehill & Taylor Architects and developed by Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties along with MHP Real Estate Services.

Margaritaville Resort Quickly Sprouts Above Street Level, in Times Square

The upcoming 29-story Margaritaville Resort at 560 Seventh Avenue is rising above Times Square and has already reached its main setback. YIMBY last checked in on the project back in early May, when it had just begun to ascend above street level. Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties is developing the site along with MHP Real Estate Services, and Stonehill & Taylor Architects is the designer. There will be a three-story restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool with plentiful seating and beach-themed motifs, and a rooftop bar called the LandShark Bar & Grill. The projected price for the resort hotel is expected to be around $300 million.
