YIMBY Tours Brookfield’s Manhattan West Development, First Look at Rooftop Views

Brookfield has officially celebrated the topping out of the 67-story One Manhattan West, aka OMW, the largest of six structures in their six million square foot Manhattan West development in Midtown West. The project has successfully lured several large companies to lease, and plans to add a significant amount of public space to the city. Permits Filed for SOM-Designed 1241 Broadway, Midtown, Manhattan

Permits have been filed for a 22-story commercial office building at 1241 Broadway in Midtown, Manhattan. The architect of the project will be Skidmore Owings & Merrill, who arguably have had the largest impact on New York City’s built environment compared to any other firm. First formed in 1939, they specialize in high-end office space, like the soon-to-be tower in today’s post.

Related’s 35 Hudson Yards Tops Out As Neighborhood’s First Residential Supertall

Progress on the second highest tower in the Hudson Yards mega-development has reached a milestone. 35 Hudson Yards has officially topped out at 1,009 feet. Now that it has reached that height, it is the ninth tallest structure in New York City and 19th tallest in the United States. Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group are responsible for the development. Next door, 30 Hudson Yards is tantalizingly close to topping out, but the milestone has not yet officially occurred.
