The site is located between Dean Street and Pacific Street, directly across from Barclays Center and 18 Sixth Avenue, another residential project underway in the neighborhood.

18 Sixth Avenue is approaching the halfway mark on the way up to its 49-story parapet in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed in a joint venture between The Brodsky Organization and Greenland Forest City Partners, the nearly 500-foot-tall structure will contain 858 rental units, of which 258 will be dedicated to affordable housing. The development will yield 740,000 square feet and stand as the tallest building in the massive 22-acre Pacific Park master plan.

The reinforced concrete superstructure of 18 Sixth Avenue, a 49-story residential skyscraper, has begun ascending in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed in a joint venture between The Brodsky Organization and Greenland Forest City Partners, the 500-plus-foot-tall building will yield 858 rental units, of which 258 will be dedicated to affordable housing. Three piling machines and two excavators have been set up at 37 Sixth Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The upcoming 343,788-square-foot, mixed-use building will rise 26 stories and bring 323 rental units to the neighborhood. The property sits at the corner of Dean Street and Sixth Avenue and is directly to the east of Barclays Center. Marvel Architects is the designer and the Brodsky Organization is the developer. An updated rendering was also posted on the construction fence. The project is alternately addressed 495 Dean Street and 664 Pacific Street.

Pacific Park’s Newest 750-Unit Tower Revealed at 18 Sixth Avenue in Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Details have been revealed for an enormous new 750-unit residential tower at 18 6th Avenue, in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The site is right beside the Barclays Center and is part of Pacific Park, formerly known as Atlantic Yards, a multi-billion dollar 22-acre mega-project that has already seen the completion of four of fifteen eventual buildings. TF Cornerstone and The Brodsky Organization have also now joined Greenland Forest City Partners to finish the project, acquiring land where three of the prospective future skyscrapers will imminently rise.

Cathedral-Neighboring 15-Story, 428-Unit Residential Project Complete At 400 West 113th Street, Morningside Heights

Back in April of 2015, YIMBY revealed renderings of the two-tower, 428-unit residential development at 400 West 113th Street, located on the Cathedral of St. John the Divine campus, in Morningside Heights. The Handel Architects-designed 15-story buildings topped out late last year, and now Tectonic has photos (h/t Curbed NY) of the completed towers. Dubbed Enclave at the Cathedral, all of the units will be rental apartments and will have access to over 10,000 square feet of amenity space. Amenities include landscaped outdoor decks and rooftop terraces, a 2,000-square-foot gym, an art gallery, and recreational/entertainment rooms. The Brodsky Organization is the developer and occupancy began on March 7.

Expansion Planned For The Metropolitan Museum of Art At 1000 Fifth Avenue, Upper East Side

Daniel Brodsky is planning to build a 180,000 square-foot addition to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located at 1000 Fifth Avenue, between East 80th and 84th streets on the Upper East Side. According to the New York Post, the expansion would include a Southwest Wing to showcase modern and contemporary art, and possibly additional galleries for the Arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas exhibits. The expansion will be designed by David Chipperfield Architects and won’t rise taller than the existing two-million-square-foot art museum. Plans will have to be approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission because the structure is an individual landmark (with additional interior landmarked spaces; it’s also listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places). Brodsky recently completed the museum’s $65 million David H. Koch Plaza, which runs along Fifth Avenue in front of the building.

Work Wraps On 15-Story, 428-Unit Project At 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, Morningside Heights

Earlier this year, YIMBY revealed renderings for the two-towered, 15-story residential development at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, adjacent to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, at 113th Street in Morningside Heights. Construction only began late last year on the 428-unit project, but structural construction and façade work are now complete, per Curbed. The buildings are being dubbed Enclave and Cathedral, and also go by the address of 400 West 113th Street. Brodsky Organization is the developer, Handel Architects is the architect, and completion is expected this fall.
