Two-Story, 8,100-Square-Foot Ritualarium Planned At 607 Avenue K, Midwood

The Sephardic Mikveh of Midwood has filed applications for a two-story, 8,143-square-foot ritualarium at 607 Avenue K, located on the corner of Ocean Parkway in Midwood. The facility will feature a ritual area in the cellar, administrative offices and a waiting area on the ground floor, and a multi-purpose room on the second floor. The Brooklyn-based Spiral Group is the architect of record of the 27-foot-tall structure. The 3,600-square-foot lot is vacant. Its three-story predecessor was demolished back in 2007. The Avenue J stop on the Q train is 10 blocks away.


103 Vanderveer Street

Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Building Planned at 103 Vanderveer Street, Bushwick

David Lefkowitz, doing business as an anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC, has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 103 Vanderveer Street, in eastern Bushwick. The structure will measure 5,492 square feet and its residential units should average 686.5 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Ronald B. Cagan’s Brooklyn-based Spiral Group is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 2,500-square-foot property is currently occupied by a two-story house. Demolition permits were filed in May. The Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen Street stop on the L train is two blocks away.
