Macklowe’s 200 East 59th Street Nears Completion On The Upper East Side

Harry Macklowe’s most prominent project to date is certainly 432 Park Avenue, on the corner of 57th Street. But two blocks to the northeast, the developer’s CetraRuddy-designed tower at 200 East 59th Street is making a mark of its own, and is now almost complete. While the 35-story and 490-foot-tall tower may not be quite as tall as its sibling to the south, the concrete design has become another attractive addition to the Manhattan skyline, and today we have a look thanks to photos by DBOX.

Roman Abramovich’s Expanding Upper East Side Mega-Mansion at 9 East 75th Street Heads to the LPC

YIMBY has covered plans for 11-15 East 75th Street extensively, as the assemblage of three buildings created by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich wound its way through the Landmarks Preservation Commission over the past two years. While plans designed by Herzog & de Meuron had already been approved, Abramavoch has now acquired an adjacent structure at 9 East 75th Street which will be incorporated into what is seemingly the fastest-growing mega-mansion in New York City. Later today, the new design will be reviewed by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
