This week, developers and city officials celebrated the official opening of 22 South West, a new mixed-income affordable housing complex in Mount Vernon, New York. Designed by Humphreys & Partners Urban Architecture, the $95 million mixed-use development comprises 4,200 square feet of ground-floor retail and office space, 189 apartments, and 149 sub-grade parking spaces.
Wilder Balter Partners and L+M Development have revealed new renderings of a mixed-use residential project located at 25 Maple Avenue in the heart of New Rochelle’s downtown district. Designed by architects Beyer Blinder Belle, the seven-story building will eventually comprise a mix of rental apartments, ground-floor retail, and associated parking.
Two major developments in Mount Kisco and White Plains will soon begin construction following the approval of two major incentives packages from Westchester County’s Industrial Development Agency. Referred to simply as the IDA, the agency works to facilitate diversification and urbanization of the county through the construction of vibrant mixed-use developments.
The Port Chester Planning Commission and members of the public will soon review proposals for a new nine-story mixed-use building in the village’s downtown area. The public hearing is scheduled for January 27, when Sarrazin Architecture and members of the development team are expected to present the project, which is located at 30 Broad Street and 136 Irving Avenue.
The New Rochelle Planning Board is expected to review proposals from a local developer to construct a new 28-story building in Downtown New Rochelle. Located at 525 Main Street, the site is formed by an assemblage of five lots to create a 22,000-square-foot unified parcel.
