Significant progress has been made on the construction of a six-story building at 199 Montrose Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The lot has been vacant for at least a decade, with proposals for other developments on record as early as 2008. It appears that foundation work has been started, with steel paneling raised to ground level. It does not look as though concrete has been poured yet. Ranco Capital LLC is responsible for the development.

Today, YIMBY has a new look for 83 Humboldt Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The building will be shifting away from its original brushed aluminum and wood paneling. The facade will include masonry between floor-to-ceiling windows of various widths, for a seemingly randomized façade pattern. Eight light fixtures on the edge of the building add an unusual flare. Beam Group is responsible for the design.

Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 56 Ainslie Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The project is part of a larger trend of redevelopment in an area west of Union Avenue, bordered by Borinquen Place, the BQE, and Metropolitan Avenue. The proposed building would be two blocks away from the Metropolitan Avenue subway station, serviced by the G and L trains. Big Apple Designers is behind the applications.
