Work on 77 Greenwich Street is progressing rapidly. The imminently 500-foot tall and 42-story building is quickly rising above its podium, and has already reached its tenth floor. The FXCollaborative-designed tower will house 90 residential units beginning 150 feet above the streets down below. Interiors are being designed by Deborah Berke Partners. Trinity Place Holdings is the developer of the site, which sits on the western side of the Financial District.
Leasing has officially launched for The Essex, a new residential rental tower on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The 26-story building at 125 Delancey Street will be the tallest component of the 1.9 million square foot Essex Crossing development, comprised of residential buildings, commercial components, a 14-screen Regal Cinemas, redevelopment of the historic Essex Market, and a new bazaar-style marketplace.
After breaking ground back in July of 2018 and rising 30 floors in only six months, Greenwich West has officially topped-out over Hudson Square, in Lower Manhattan. Located at 110 Charlton Street, the new residential tower will have 170 residences, which already launched sales this past fall. The project is one of the tallest buildings in the area, and will have views of the Hudson River, Lower Manhattan, and the Midtown skyline. Strategic Capital, Cape Advisors, and Forum Absolute Capital Partners are the developers, while Loci Anima and Adamson Associates are the designers.
Once again, January has arrived, alongside New York YIMBY’s annual pipeline report. After our mid-2018 update portended a banner year for new construction, the 2019 report has confirmed it, as the total number of multi-family units filed with the Department of Buildings saw a tremendous surge over the past 365 days. 2018 saw 32,580 multi-family units filed with the DOB, beating 2017’s total of 19,180 units by a whopping 70%. EVE NYC, a new residential development in Manhattan’s East Village at 433 East 13th Street and 432 East 14th Street, is now in the final phases of construction. YIMBY has the exclusive look at a new set of renderings for the project, which is expected to begin leasing this month.
