Sales Launch for 109 East 79th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Sales have launched for the topped-out 109 East 79th Street, a 20-story residential building under construction on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Steven Harris Architects and developed by Legion Investment Group, the 210-foot-tall structure will yield 145,000 square feet divided into 31 condominiums, some spanning over 6,000 square feet. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is the exclusive marketing and sales agent for the two- to five-bedroom residences. Cauldwall Wingate is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Lexington and Park Avenues. The Cathy Franklin Team is handling on-site sales and pricing begins at $5.5 million for a two-bedroom residence to $35 million for a full-floor penthouse with private roof terrace. Interiors and landscaping are being done by Rees Roberts + Partners.

Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by private equity firm Savanna along with Hong Kong-based developer Atom Assets, the stepped 403-foot-tall superstructure stands between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue one street south of 57th Street, aka Billionaires’ Row.

The new glass curtain wall has begun installation on 660 Fifth Avenue, a 39-story commercial building in Midtown, Manhattan. Formerly addressed as 666 Fifth Avenue, the office tower is in the process of having its mid-century façade replaced with a modern envelope in a project designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Brookfield Properties. The 1.5-million-square-foot property is located between West 52nd and 53rd Streets.

RAMSA’s 3041 Broadway Soars Past Halfway Mark in Morningside Heights, Manhattan

Construction has quickly risen past the halfway mark on 3041 Broadway, a 42-story mixed-use tower designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects in Morningside Heights. Alternately addressed as 100 Claremont Avenue, the project is being developed by L&M Development Partners and Lendlease with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, and will yield 350,000 square feet with condominiums as well as institutional offices, faculty housing, and classrooms for the Union Theological Seminary. Beyer Blinder Belle is handling the renovations of Union Theological Seminary’s Hastings Hall, where students reside. The property is located by the corner of Claremont Avenue and West 122nd Street, directly across from Riverside Church, and the tower is being constructed with the use of air rights from the seminary.
